North East Sport exists to be there for Sunderland’s young people, week in, week out, so they grow up with a solid foundation and become good people. We started in Southwick in 2008, in the middle of the financial crash, moved on to Hendon, and have been at Monkwearmouth Academy since 2014. Football is how we do it: the most inclusive youth football in Sunderland, from beginners to competitive teams, plus holiday camps that parents rate highly. Whether your child is taking their first steps on the pitch, ready to join a team, or needs somewhere good to be in the school holidays, there’s a session for them. Over 900 people a week come through our doors, with more than forty adult volunteers alongside our coaches.
